Candlelight Vigil for Lynchburg College Student

Nineteen-year-old Kristine Kitts lost her life in a car accident on Boonsboro Rd. in Lynchburg. She was driving down the road when she hit an embankment, causing her car to flip several times. People of the Lynchburg College Community will join together in mourning on Tuesday night for her Candlelight vigil.


Shoppers Make Mad Dash To Stock Up Before Storm

  The winter storm forecasted for Tuesday has cause many citizens of Forrest, VA and the surrounding areas to buy supplies before the snow comes. Citizens at the local Food Lion are sticking to the essentials, buying milk, bread, eggs and water to get them through the storm. The stores are king all they can to provide customers with the essentials they need to carry them through.


Celebrity Couple In Town To Promote New Film

Mark Burnett, famous Hollywood producer and creator of "Survivor," and Roma Downy, actress, came to Lynchburg and Liberty University on Monday to promote their new film "Son of God." This is the first time in nearly 50 years that the story of Jesus' life has been shown in theaters and it is, according to Downy, "an opportunity here to reach a whole new generation of filmgoers." The movie, filmed in Morocco, has actors from all over the world and will be released in English and Spanish on February 28th with the hopes of high box office numbers.
