Queen's household grilled over spendathon

The British royal household exceeded their budget this past 2012-2013 year by more than $4 million. As a result, the royal reserve fund is at a historic low, totalling around $1.7 million. The royal staff was scolded on their inability to live within their means, and their yearly grant will be raised by $12 million.

The DNA from an ancient hunter-gatherer's tooth was analysed and found to indicate the man had blue eyes and dark skin. This combination is quite unusual now, but this finding may indicate it was more common that was originally thought. The man was also found to have genes which made it difficult for him to process dairy and starch.

Shortly after Prime Minister of Ukraine, Mykola Azarov,  resigned, Parliament passed a bill that invalidated the anti-demonstartion laws. This bill ensured that protesters would not be criminally charged on the grounds that they agreed to leave the building being occupied. This is being challenged, and is expected to be reviewed on Wednesday.
